Collaborating with Rene Harriman and Matt Jarvis of Daruma Vision, we took the mysterious airs of the song by Indiana in September 2012 into the remains of a derelict girls school. www.musicfromthecaravan.com/?p=1356
Love Saves the Day Festival 2012 + 2013
Working closely with the Love Saves the Day team and Team Love who design and organise all the large party pieces for many events like this, I help with a large group of makers in making these ridiculously large scale works to scatter the event in Bristol! They are always looking for more people to get involved, let me know if you do.
Market at the Moon
I am the director of a Bristol Market called, The Market at the Moon. The project started after the chance meeting of Jo Buttons in October 2012! The market has always dedicated itself to working with local artists, craftmakers and independent businesses of Bristol, and it's ever growing popularity means we get amazing variety of talent, within food, music, art and all kinds of skills!
The market is every first Saturday of the month at The Full Moon bar of Stokes Croft in Bristol. When the weather peaks though, we have it more often so it's worth looking out for our posters!
In Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and Tunbridge Wells I have started painting and learning about visual merchandising in the White Stuff stores. Terribly exciting! I love being part of this White Stuff lot, always getting new projects whenever I walk in.
Moment of Madness, Motion Bristol, April 2012
The central bass venue in Bristols ridiculous underground music scene is Motion. To get the opportunity to do whatever we wanted with the entire (massive) venue for a special fundraising evening. This collaborative wall of 'Freak Show' influenced studies included work from myself, Deirdre Canavan, Isaac Stacey and Mel Fung.
Helsinki April 2013
A group of eight of us took part in an exchange to the Aalto Art University in Helsinki, Finland this year. Following a week of workshops with three amazingly inspiring tutors and seven other ridiculously mind-opening artists from or around Finland, new projects have started for all of us. I'm going to continue making collaborative pieces with Tiina, by sending letters and segments of our 3mx2m large painting and collage. More about this once it's ready to be shared!
The Forum, Tunbridge Wells Sept 2012
The Forum has been the one venue that has been consistently a place for fun throughout all of my life, being in my home town and all. The venue showcases many different exciting things; live music, exhibitions, burlesque, spoken word and so much i can't remember. This painting is an on-going piece at the entrance where you'll buy your tickets!
